Yuck, Ick, Gross, Groody....

I am taking part in orgjunkie's Monthly Organizing challenge, to read more about it you can click here: http://orgjunkie.com/category/monthly-roundup February is Kitchen month, and I got a little head start, I even know what cabinet I am going to do next!

BEFORE Pictures: The problem is that my under the sink area had all of my glass vases sitting around collecting dust. That is the yuck, ick gross part. I have decided to put them on freecycle.com and then recycle the rest and keep the ones I love the most.

Ashley and I got in there with sponges and I was surprised that she got dirt on her sponge, I even did the pipes, sprayed down with a little windex, just in case a plumber ever needs to get in there, I think they would be impressed. :-) I am so pleased with how it is turning out, no more clanking around everytime I put the garbage can in or out or use the hose sprayer at the sink, sometimes the hose would clank into the vases. I remember as a kid having great memories of crawling in my mom's cupboards!
In this pic you can see old shelf liner paper that got dirty. AFTER Pictures:
I put down new shelf lining paper.
I am so pleased with how it is turning out, no more clanking around everytime I put the garbage can in or out or use the hose sprayer at the sink, sometimes the hose would clank into the vases.

So will you come to my place when you are done with yours? :)

Actually I would Shari - I love to organize other people more than myself!!!! PS I tried to comment on your blog but it wouldn't let me - what is a moebius basket?

Actually, I should know that because you had fun organizing at JA's.

Here's an example (sample of moebius basket), until I get my own pics. A moebius is a geometry "thing" - remember taking a strip of paper, bringing the ends together with 1/2 of a twist and taping it together, then tracing the edge to find that it continues and continues and continues... you can go over the entire edge, which seems like it should be 2 but is only 1, without lifting away from it. So, that said, a moebius basket is a moebius strip that is used as the handle and top edge, then the rest of the basket is attached.

You know that you can cover some of those vases with clay, right? I actually keep a small supply of vases in the trunk of my car so that if I buy flowers for someone at work, I don't have to pay extra for the vase. I keep ribbon and scissors too. Have a stockpile of cards at work too. I am prepared. Good job though. Love the pics of Ashley!

Shari - that moebius basket is cute!!!!

Ramona, good point on the vases - I put them in the garage and DH might have done something with them - yikes, they may not exist anymore.
